Order Policies
At SweetGem Cupcakes, we are committed to creating delicious and beautiful custom cakes and treats for your special occasions. To ensure we maintain the highest level of service and quality, please review our order and cancellation policy below.
Order & Payment Terms:
A 50% deposit is required to place an order and reserve your event date. This deposit is due immediately upon order confirmation.
The remaining balance is due 5 business days prior to the pickup date.
Wedding Cakes: A 50% deposit is required to place the order and hold the wedding date. The balance is due 30 business days prior to the event.
If the order is placed less than 5 business days before the event date, the full payment is required immediately. A rush fee may also apply.
No Refunds on Custom Orders: Once your order is confirmed, no refunds will be issued on custom orders.
Non-Returnable Items:
Perishable Goods: All food or drink items, including cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods, are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Gift Certificates: Gift certificates are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Please contact the shop for any questions related to gift certificates.
Event Date Changes: Requests to change the event date may only be made if the request is made 7 or more days before the original event date.
Deposits are non-refundable, and changes may be subject to availability and additional fees.
Design Changes & Rush Fees:
Design Changes: Changes to the design after confirmation may incur additional fees, depending on the complexity of the request.
Rush Orders: A rush fee starting at $35 will apply to orders placed within 24 hours or close to the event date. The rush fee will vary depending on the size and complexity of the order.
